coral sunset> clearance

coral sunset is a classic peony introduced in 1965, known for its large semi-double blooms that open in deep coral and fade to soft peach. the flowers are full and rounded, measuring about 6–8″ across, with a light fragrance. it blooms early in the season on sturdy 30–32″ stems. hardy in zones 3–8 and a great option for cut flowers.

coral sunset is sold as one root with 3-5 eyes.

fall planting instructions: 

1. choose an area with at least 6 hours of sunlight with soil that has good drainage.

2. dig a hole 12-18” deep. mix soil with an all-purpose fertilizer. add the amended and loosened soil back into the hole.

3. place peony roots 2-3” under the soil line with eyes facing upward, and then gently pack the soil over the roots.

4. water well.
