etched salmon>

etched salmon is a classic peony introduced in 1981, known for its full, double blooms in a warm salmon-pink shade. the flowers have a soft, rose-like shape and a light, sweet fragrance. blooms appear in late spring on sturdy 36″ stems. hardy in zones 3–8, etched salmon is a great pick for cut flowers and a favorite among gardeners for its unique color. this hard-to-find variety has limited quantities.

etched salmon is sold as one root with 3-5 eyes.

fall planting instructions: 

1. choose an area with at least 6 hours of sunlight with soil that has good drainage.

2. dig a hole 12-18” deep. mix soil with an all-purpose fertilizer. add the amended and loosened soil back into the hole.

3. place peony roots 2-3” under the soil line with eyes facing upward, and then gently pack the soil over the roots.

4. water well.
